#136: (BONUS) The Tools & Mindset Shifts That've Lead To Buying My Dream Home & How Your Dreams Can Come True Too

See this content in the original post

I've just moved into a 2 story penthouse on the river which has exceeded anything in my wildest dreams.

Firstly, it’s not about the house. This place was a side effect of taking aligned steps daily towards my MAIN and only dream really for 7 years… to change as many lives as I can.

I’m living my dream in that way after 7 solid, non stop, dedicated years to growing this business and my passion will never stop, but this home was almost a dream that I never knew existed or could be possible for me solo or this early in life (I'm 31).

I’ve always wanted a view, as it makes me inspired to work which aligns with my 'why' - to help more and more of you. So, my first little red brick flat that I rented 5 years ago had glimpses, my first home that I purchased 3 years ago had amazing views, and now this one has ones that don’t even look real. And, I have SO MUCH to share about how I got here and made my dreams come true.

  • Do you also want to achieve something?

  • Reach a health goal?

  • Grow your business?

  • Start a business?

  • Build a dream life for yourself?

In this bonus episode, I share so many actionable mindset tips & shifts that you can make in your life to help your dreams come true, whatever they are.

I swear by them and always have, and I’m so excited to share my learnings and journey to getting here with you… because ANYTHING is possible for you if you want something enough… anything.

So this podcast is a little bit different and I'm doing it because I have just moved into my absolute dream home and so many of you have loved following along with my journey on Instagram. A lot of you are trying to achieve big things as well. A lot of you are business owners and whatever goal you have, I really hope that this inspires you because I've decided to create a podcast about a lot of the different things that I've done in my life that have led to this point since I started my business seven years ago.

I really wanted to share a lot of my learnings with you and really inspire you to show you how anything is possible for you if you stay dedicated and you have a dream. If you're interested in listening to all of the different steps that I've taken, the mindset & tools that I've learned, how I've structured certain parts of my life and what I've done to get here, please listen to this episode. I really hope you enjoy it and most of it is mindset tips because we can all be told what to do, but without the right mindset tools and without setting your life up correctly in a way that makes you feel motivated to do the things that you need to do, it's going to be really hard to get there, so that's what this podcast is going to focus on and I really hope that you enjoy this episode.

I made this one a bonus because it's a little bit different to my other episodes, but so many of you have requested this kind of topic and I really love to record what I'm passionate about and something that I'm equally as passionate about is helping you achieve your weight loss and your gut health and your health goals is achieving other goals in life and because my entire business is around helping you change your lives in terms of your health and your weight loss and your gut health, I've had to create a business to do that for you.

This business has taken so much work and there's been so much involved that has led me to be able to reach so many of you and help so many of you and in turn create a life for myself that is now beyond my wildest dreams and so I'm really passionate about not only teaching you about weight loss and gut health and health but helping you realise your potential to living a dream life for yourself and I know that so many of my followers are also business owners. This doesn't just relate to business owners though. I'm going to try my best with this podcast, even though it's about my business journey and all of the little steps that I've taken to get there, you can relate so many of these things to any other goal that you want to achieve from weight loss, to your career goal, to pretty much anything.

So the podcast today is going to be really about how I bought my dream home. So if you're a new listener, I have moved into a two story penthouse, which is right on the river. It has 360 degree water views and it hasn't just come to me.There are so many things that I want to share because this is absolutely beyond my wildest dreams. I have manifested a good view ever since I started my business seven years ago.  I've always dreamt big, but I never ever thought that it would come to life this soon, or a view this good and there's just so much that I want to share because I truly believe that anything is possible for us.

So basically in this podcast today, it's going to be really hard to condense but I've tried to compile just the most important things and the right steps to take if you do want to achieve your goals and if you do want to achieve big things in your life.

The first thing I want to say is that I do and I don't believe in goals. I think it's really important to set big goals for yourself and to have a vision, but if I think back on my life, I haven't set certain goals with certain timeframes. A lot of the things that have come my way, have come as a result from just taking steps every single day that align with my greater why and my greater vision and I think that's really important to say. I think it's really important to set big goals for yourself, but instead of setting a goal, you need to really figure out what your why is first and by that I mean - let's say it's weight loss. Usually weight loss isn't your why. Normally if you dig deeper, it's because you want to have more confidence, or you want to be able to have more energy and be able to run around with your kids more. If you just keep digging under the layers, you can find a deeper why.

For me, my why has never been to just grow a business or to make a certain amount of money or to buy a house. It has never been that and it never ever will be. My biggest why to grow my business is to change your lives. Changing your lives makes me so insanely happy. When you do good, when you do good for other people, it is the best feeling in the world and that has always been what has driven me, and then as a side effect, things have come my way that I haven't expected.

In the first one to four years of my business, that was always my dream and always my why and I'm going to get into this a bit, but it was my fourth year of business where I met certain people and I started following certain people that showed me what was possible in my life and this is going to be one of the tips that I get into because I truly believe that who you surround yourself with is very important, especially if you surround yourself with people that are doing bigger and better things than you because they show you what's possible in life.

If you were to ask me three years ago, because I've had the business for seven years and my mindset was completely different in my fourth year of business. I was living in a tiny, little red brick flat. It was really not nice but the thing that it had was a slight ocean view and lots of natural light and that made me feel good and that made me feel inspired and I realised that's what I'll always want is a water view and lots of natural light because that makes me do better work which aligns with my why.

So my why is to do good work to change your lives but back then my mindset was so limited, so that's why I'm excited to create this podcast for you too, because I want to inspire you and show you what's possible, but back then I didn't have any business friends and I felt quite alone and it wasn't until I met a couple of friends, I flew to Brisbane to meet these two women. I'm not going to get into the story, I've told you about it quite a few times, but Steph and Clare - I was bingeing Steph's podcast for years to teach me about business and Clare was a Business Coach.

When I went and met them, and now I'm best friends with them three years on, I've been to Brisbane three times, I've traveled to Italy with Steph last year and since I met them they just really showed me what was possible for my life and so three years ago, there is no way in hell I would think that I would have traveled to Italy four times in the last year by myself and stayed in beautiful resorts, with just my laptop running this business. There is no way in hell I would have thought that I would be living in a house like this.

I'm not even going to get into what the habits are and the steps that you need to take to achieve your goals, because I've actually done that a lot in one of my podcasts from a year ago - Episode #101: Getting Back on Track & How To Create Habits That ACTUALLY Stick and Produce Results! . If you are really looking to learn how to set the right habits, because it's all about habits that build up over time and consistency that will get you to your goals and that will bring you big things in your life, you can't just say - “I want to achieve X”, without knowing what steps to take each day and repeat over and over again. Without knowing what those steps are, you can't just set a goal. It's all about the tiny little steps that add up and setting the right healthy habits to get you to that point, so what I would recommend to do after this episode, is go back and listen to Episode #101: Getting Back on Track & How To Create Habits That ACTUALLY Stick and Produce Results!

What I'm going to talk about, because this is one of the biggest things that has affected me and my life and has enabled me to grow this business, to change so many of their lives and then result in me being able to travel a lot, which is a dream that I didn't know existed, and buy this house, which was also a dream I didn't know existed, has been really working on how to create a life for myself and have the right energy in my life so that I actually want to do those habits.

Let's say, as an example, habits could be - daily exercise, a certain amount of work at a certain time of the day, eating healthy food, or being more organized with your health - prepping some food the night before etc. Little habits like that are practical things, right? To do those things, to get to the gym or to sit down and do work that you don't really want to do because it's boring or it's hard or to start eating healthy when you're not eating healthy in the past. All of these things that create change and that you have to do every single day to bring you towards a goal, it usually doesn't feel that comfortable.

I will be getting into this more too, but what I truly believe in is that you need to create a life for yourself where it does feel more doable. Creating a life for yourself where you have a clear, happy, energized, and creative mind so that you actually want to do those habits a little bit more because if you're feeling uninspired, if you're feeling low, if you're feeling exhausted all the time, then If you have zero motivation, it's going to be so much harder to do those habits each day, to get to the gym or to eat healthy or to sit down and work.

So in this podcast, I'm going to be talking about all the little things that I have done in my life that have actually really enabled me to do all of the daily habits that I've had to do every single day to grow this business because I have stayed so insanely dedicated. I want to circle back and say that every single day I think of my why and that is the biggest thing that leads me and that is changing your lives and so make sure you have your why, then after you listen to Episode #101: Getting Back on Track & How To Create Habits That ACTUALLY Stick and Produce Results! -  you'll have more of an idea of how to set the right habits to get you to your goal, but I really want to talk to you about how I have changed my life in so many ways that have enabled me to repeat certain habits every single day.

Obviously some days you don't do them, I have breaks on the weekends, sometimes you have off days, but I'm just saying 80% of the time, just like I say with eating, reaching any goal, try your best 80% of the time, obviously 20% of the time is so important for rest, taking care of yourself or just having off days.

The first thing I want to say is that I really want to remind you that it is small steps that add up. I know it sounds corny, but it is all of the tiny small steps that add up over time that elicit big results and I think where a lot of people go wrong is that they expect results overnight, or they expect results in a month or even a year and if they don't get there, they give up and they think it's too hard.

Most people that have what you want, whether it's a fit body, a relationship or being able to travel the world or having a business that looks successful, when I say look successful, I truly don't believe that financial success means success. I believe financial success is part of it, but I believe success is also being able to have the time to travel, spend time with your family and friends, take care of yourself and have balance in your life at the same time. If you see someone that has success, usually it is not an overnight success story at all. It has taken days, weeks, months and years of compounding daily habits that they have built up and when you have that mindset, you will achieve big things.

If you don't have that mindset and you just want to achieve quick wins, most of the time you'll do it and you'll just give up. So that's something that I've always done. I've never really had a time frame set for myself. I've just taken small steps every day and then I've achieved goals along the way that I didn't even really know were coming. It's hard to say that but I think it's really important to get that message out.

The other thing I want to say and also, I have learned this through the last seven years, but I have learned this also through multiple experts that I have listened to and looked up to as well, so I'm not just pulling this out of thin air. I've had to really get addicted to certain podcasts and follow certain people to be able to learn all of these things that I've done in my life, and now I'm relaying them to you. Something else that is key is to feel happy and proud of yourself every single step of the way.

People are rarely happy in life if they set a goal, especially if it's a materialistic goal, like when I get that house I'll be happy, or even when I meet that person I'll be happy, or when I make X amount of dollars I'll be happy, because then people work towards that, and then it's human nature when you get something you just want more. So you've really got to focus on trying to feel proud of yourself and happy at every single stage of your life and one of the best ways to do this, and I learned this through James Wedmore who is one of my absolute biggest mentors, and that's why it was such an honour last year to be invited on his podcast as a guest because that has been my dream for three or four years. I was manifesting that and I ended up being a top six finalist in the case study competition with my business growth. So that happened last year and I still can't believe it and then I was on his podcast as well, talking all about my business journey, but what he taught me and what I truly believe in is that, you have got to act like that person now.

So let's say you want to buy a dream house or make X amount of money. Think about what that person does, how they feel, what they're doing, all of their daily habits in their life, and start acting like that person now. Don't wait until you get that thing, because it never works like that. If you start acting like that person now, you will subconsciously do all of the habits that get you there, and it will make you feel happy in the present moment as well. Not only that, try your best to feel happy all the time with where you are today.

This sounds so corny as well, but there are always things to be grateful for and when you start to realise that if you reach a certain, if you have the mindset where when I get X amount of money I'll be happy, or when I get that house I'll be happy, if you keep thinking like that, you'll probably never be happy, but if you start to be happy now and appreciate all of the things in your life at every single stage of your life, then when those things come true, if they do come true for you, yes, it feels great, but you've been happy the whole time anyway. I think that is a massive key to not only reaching goals, but just feeling really content and happy in your life.

So as an example, because my biggest why has always been changing your lives and I have never wanted to do it in a rush. I've always just gone with the slow game and trusted my gut and I've always known that the small steps will add up one day. I honestly, and I'm not just saying this, in my first year of business, I had one client a month when I was doing one on one work, then the second half of that year, it was about two a week and then by the second year, it was nearly full time. Every single week though, I felt happy and even in that tiny unit. I actually moved out of home in my third year of business, which is when I first launched the 3 Week Body Reset. I was extremely happy then, even though it was a really disgusting, red, tiny little flat with constant cockroaches on the floor, but I was happy because I was changing your lives and even though it was only a couple of people a week before I launched my online programs, that was still me living my dream, and it was just changing your lives. Even if it was just one a week, that was enough for me at the time.

As things evolved, I started to just become more obsessed with - how can I make this dream come true more and more? The dream for me was changing as many lives as I possibly could, so that meant creating my 3 Week Body Reset. A year later, I launched the Health with Bec Tribe for women to continue after the 3 Week Body Reset and to grow a business and to keep changing your lives, it is not easy.  I have enjoyed every single day, but it is not easy.

So circling back to what I said before, it takes just constant dedication and constant daily habits to get you there and it is so much easier to do those things when you're feeling happy and motivated and inspired and creative. So every day and every week I have become so in tune with how to make my life feel like that and in turn, since I have started focusing on that far more heavily about three years ago, my business has grown in ways that have exceeded my wildest dreams and I know that anything's possible for me.

One of the things that I want to share is that I really understood that I was doing far too much and I didn't have any staff back then. I was working myself to the core. I was burnt out and there's no way I could scale and change more lives when I was feeling like that. So one of the biggest things that I want to share is that it's really important to reach out for more help, to create more space in your life, for better sleep, for more self care, for more time in nature, for earlier nights.

So for me, that meant starting to hire staff and hiring wasn't easy either. It took about a year to just write all of my systems out and get my first staff member, but I've always known that  if nothing changes, nothing changes and it's always going to feel really hard before things get better. The beauty was though, as soon as I employed my first staff member, I finally took a little bit more time to myself to enjoy life. I started to sleep better, I started to feel better, and I started to work better and that meant thinking of more creative ways to access more of you and change your lives more and tweak my plans more and do all of the million things I've done over the last few years.

So getting that support to take some stuff off my plate, focusing more on self care only meant that I had a clearer, better brain to keep taking the steps that I need to take for my greater why, which is to change your lives. Also, of course, if you're a business owner, you'll understand this, the more you outsource, and this took me a while to learn, but I'm addicted to this now, the more you outsource, the more you can actually work on the things in your business that helps it grow and the more that you can do things that are in your line of genius.

There's no way three years ago that I would have had time to record a podcast, but since I hired more and more staff and then I created more time for myself to create a podcast, I've been able to influence and change so many more lives, so that's just one example. So reach out for support, so that you can get more time for yourself, to focus on the things that matter, which is achieving your goals, but also to rest and do self care and take care of yourself, because you'll only do better work and you'll only take those steps far easier if you're taking care of yourself and you're getting more support. That could look like staff members for you, or it could look like investing in a babysitter more or daycare more for your kids or  asking your husband to help more. It's hard to speak about families. Everyone has different dynamics, but just reaching out for more support so that you can focus on what you need to achieve and also get more rest too.

Something else that I've done is really reflected each week on the things that  make me thrive or make me feel depleted and I keep changing my life to find my own balance. So one example is that I noticed when I can see glimpses of the ocean and I have natural light in my home, I feel so much more inspired to work, so I thought - okay, I'm going to aim for this in my life. This is what I need because this helps me with my greater why, which is work and changing your lives and there's so many other things - exercise does this, you feel great after it. Really try to think about what makes you feel good and what doesn't and tweak your life every single day to make it feel better because I think we always need to remember that  our lives are honestly up to us and we can design our lives in whatever way we want.

We can make changes every single day. We can make changes every single week. When you start ignoring what society says and you stop waiting for Monday or the new year, you realise that you can actually change your life at any time and that's just really important for you to remember. So really start to work out what makes you happy and what doesn't and tweak your life every single day so that you're feeling the best you can every single day and every single week.

Something that I have realised in the last year and a half, after not taking a holiday for the first four and a half to five years of my business, was travel and how good travel made me feel. So I went to Italy four times in the last one and a half years. It felt scary at first because I went alone, but then so much beauty came of it. I have never felt more free or inspired or creative or happier over there and it actually only made me do better work and then my business only grew from doing those things. So now I make it a priority in my life. I'm going to make it a priority in my life to continue traveling as much as I possibly can. I am blessed and I don't want to say blessed because I've created this life for myself, but I do need just my laptop to travel, so I can travel quite a lot, but I do that because it makes me feel happy and then once again, it's aligning with my greater why, the happier I feel, the better work I can do and the more lives that I can change.

The other thing that I want to share is to notice what makes you feel happy and what increases your energy and what makes you feel deprived and low and tweak your life every single day and every single week so that it is making you feel like the best possible person that you can be to be able to take those steps that get you to your goal.

The next thing that I want to touch on is you are who you surround yourself with. I could not stress this point anymore. I don't just mean friends here. I mean what you're absorbing on social media and what you're absorbing in the podcast that you're listening to. If I didn't listen to the right business podcasts and manifestation podcasts, and if I didn't follow the right people on Instagram, I would not be where I am today.

There is so much power in learning from other people and learning from people that have done far more than you, people that are 10 steps ahead of you, because they show you what's possible and they teach you little steps about how to get there. So obviously this podcast today won't do it for you, but if you keep listening to me on this podcast and you follow a few other people that are aligned with your goals, you see what's possible and you feel inspired and you learn from them.

Follow the right people on social media and listen to podcasts and also books if you're a reader. There are so many good, inspiring books out there that can inspire you and then the next thie that have the same goals as you, or even better, that are a little bit ahead of you too, that is key. That has been a huge key thing for me.

I know some of you will be thinking - oh, what podcast do you listen to? My friend that I went to Brisbane to meet and I went to Italy with last year and she's a really good friend of mine. Her name is Steph Taylor. Her podcast is called Imperfect Action, an amazing podcast to listen to. My other friend is called Clare Wood. Her podcast is called The Clare Wood Podcast. I have been a guest on both of those podcasts a couple of times and they have both really inspired me.

Like I said before though, James Wedmore, he is my biggest mentor ever. That is the number one business podcast I would recommend for people to listen to. I am so obsessed. I can't even explain how good it is. His podcast is called the Mind Your Business podcast and I binged that for years and years as well. I would not be where I am today without listening to that podcast and also doing his business course, which comes out once a year, and that's called Business By Design. He is all about helping you design a business that also means you can live a good life.So he really breaks the myth that you have to hustle 24/7 to be successful. He really teang I want to say is your friends. Your friends are absolutely key as well. I'm sure you are all familiar with the expression - you are the five people that you spend the most time with. I believe in that so much but even more I've had to really create a few friendships in my life that have made a huge difference.

All of my friends in Perth aren't business owners. I absolutely love them. They support me in other areas of my life and I would not be able to get through life without them, especially two of my best key friends. I'm in touch with them all the time and I love them so insanely much but like I said earlier in the podcast,  it really wasn't until I met other friends that were aligned with me and also ran businesses that I could  share my struggles and my wins with them, get supported and get inspired because I could see what they were doing, learn from them and when you're friends with peoplches you how you can have a balanced, happy and great life whilst running a successful business and that's a mindset that I didn't really believe until I started absorbing his content.

I also really like Manifestation Babe. I haven't listened to it for a while, but that's really about manifesting and dreams as well and she's super successful. Off the top of my head, they are ones that I listen to quite regularly. I've recently started to listen to the Diary of a CEO, which is awesome as well.

Then on Instagram - every time I go onto my Instagram, I see positive quotes or it's people that I follow that run successful businesses that are sharing things, or it's things about fitness or things that doctors share. Every time I'm looking at Instagram, if I'm not working, it's things like that fill my mind and my feed and that's vital too. So if you go into your feed and it's celebrities and gossip and whatever it is, what's the point in that if you're constantly absorbing that? That is not something that's going to be taking you closer to your goals every day.

To get more and more of the right kinds of things in your feed, it might be worth doing a bit of a social media clean out and if you see posts that don't align with your goals and visions, click on the top three dots at the top of the corner of that post and then click ‘not interested’ and when you do see things that you like, make sure you comment on them or save them because when you start interacting with people's posts, it makes them show up more in your feed. You might even want to go through your following list and just unfollow people that don't align with your goals and really start to seek out people that do, because when you start seeing other women and other people as inspiration and not competition, it is an absolute game changer.

The third thing that I want to talk about is removing negativity in your life as much as you can. From friends to colleagues to family members, obviously you can't remove family members from your life, but setting boundaries is important. So if anyone is putting you down or just affecting your energy in any way, try to set boundaries or remove them from your life ASAP.

I truly believe that if you want to reach your goals and stay true to your vision and achieve big things and do all of those steps, you need to feel happy and motivated and positive. If anyone is bringing you down, they will interfere with that and as soon as you cut people like that from your life, it is a very freeing feeling. If you are set on achieving goals and doing big things for yourself, you have to be really cluey with this and try to just create a positive atmosphere in your work life, in your personal life, in your family life, as much as you possibly can.

Another point that I always stick to and believe in is there are going to be setbacks along the way, always! You're going to make mistakes. There's going to be some massive hardships, but you have to start to really learn to see every single setback and hardship and mistake as an opportunity to grow and learn from because say it's a mistake - yeah, it was a mistake, but that's awesome, because now you've learnt what that's done and the mistake that you made so that you won't repeat it in the future. So you're growing.

If something really bad happens to you, it doesn't relate to every single thing in life, of course, but a lot of things, usually if you look at it in the right way with the right mindset, because if you're achieving goals and you want to achieve big things, it's all about mindset. If you look at it in the way that is actually a lesson and that's going to help you grow, it makes you feel more positive about it and you do grow and you can't achieve big things without failing and without making mistakes. It's the people that learn from them and get straight back up afterwards that do continue and do achieve big things.

The people that don't achieve big things are the people that think they’ve failed or they think that they've made a mistake and that's when they give up, but it's so important to know that every single person that has achieved something big has made multiple mistakes and failed in their life, but they've learned from it and they have kept going regardless.

The next thing I want to say is to always be a learner. You never know it al. I'm always learning and I'm always open to new ideas. There are things that I'm changing every single day in the business. I'm constantly thinking - okay, what's not working as well? How can I improve? How can I learn off that to improve that and then testing it? I think so many people get to a point where they think they just know it all, but none of us do and I've learned from so many coaches that we are always learners, even when we're 60 or 70, there is always something to learn and that's something that's key to know as well.

The next thing I want to talk about is investing. I don't mean investing in terms of shares and stuff, but this is what I've done and I truly believe the way that I spend my money has been key to where I am today as well. So everything that I spend my money on, especially the first four years of my business, every single bit of money that I made from the business, not every single bit of money, obviously I had to pay for rent and food and things like that, but so much that I made, I would invest straight back into the business because I constantly wanted to grow the business.

So I would do that and then lately I'm definitely still doing that at the moment. There is so much that I'm investing in the business. A lot of you know that I actually built an app last year, which didn't turn out and now I have to self-fund another one. So I'm self funding the apps myself and they are not cheap, but I know I don't feel scared about it because I'm doing it because I know that it's going to change your lives more and this goes back to always staying true to your vision and your greater why.

Most of the time, like actually all of the time, you do need to invest if you want to grow in any area. It's just part of the facts. You need to invest in more help or you need to invest in building a website or an app or staff members, or even just getting a business coach. Unless you invest, it's usually really hard to grow, but I also truly believe in investing in myself and investing in the things that make me feel good and this goes back to what I was saying earlier as well …

I'm obsessed with and I feel zero guilt for spending money on things like healthy food, travel, experiences that make me feel good, sauna sessions, my gym membership, Pilates etc. I never hold back on those things because I know that those things are making me feel better in terms of my happiness, in terms of my fitness, in terms of my health and all of those things, once again, are aligned with my greater why, because the better I feel, the better work I do and the more of your lives change.

So I mainly spend money on things that make me feel better and I just have zero guilt about it. I don't think about the money. I just spend it on that because then it makes me do better work and the rest of the money goes into the business to keep helping you and to grow the business more. At the same time, I've always been quite smart and I've always liked to have a buffer in my bank account. It's changed every year, but I've always liked to have a safety net that I just have there because of course things go wrong in life. Winston might get sick and he needs to go to the Vet or my car might break down and then when you've got a business, who knows what's going to happen as well. So I've just always had a safety net and that's just grown more and more. It's turned into a bit of a savings account and I really believe in that as well. I've never really just spent week to week, paycheck to paycheck like that.

I truly believe in spending some of your money, but then making sure that you save some of it too, as a bit of a buffer in your bank account and then over the years it led to me being able to buy my first house, which was about three years ago, which was incredible. It was my dream house at the time. I still love it so much. I had to sell it though to get this new one, but that was incredible. It had quite a lot of ocean views and it looked over a park too, and it was full of natural light and it's exactly what I dreamt of and envisioned, because once again, that makes me feel good and that's what makes me do better work. So I've always aimed towards that and that's a little bit about how I invest.

Another thing is that I've just always stayed so insanely dedicated, no matter what, no matter how I'm feeling. No matter what's gone on in my life, if I've gone through hardships with dating scenarios or break-ups, because my why is so big and my work makes me so happy, which is changing your lives, I still show up every single day. Some days when I'm going through a hardship, I'll do half a day or I'll do a bit less or sometimes I'll have to skip a day at the gym and that's okay, but 8 out of 10 days, I still show up and I commit to it every single day to my goals and no one sees this except really for my parents and my two best friends, but not even they see it.

I literally work so insanely hard and I have dedicated and sacrificed so much in my life to be able to do this, especially for the first three years of my life. I had to say no to so many  holidays that I got invited on. I worked every single Saturday. I never took a public holiday. There were just so many sacrifices that I made because I knew that I had big things to do and big goals to reach and sometimes you do have to sacrifice things in the short-term if you do want big things in the long-term because you've just got to stay dedicated to doing the things that you need to do day in and day out to get you there.

Another thing that I have sworn by and live by every single day is knowing that change and growth and achieving big things is not easy and I'm sure you have heard this so many times before, but if everyone could do it, they would and it's just not easy. So you do need to push yourself on days that it feels a bit hard. You do need to push yourself to take risks and to try new things and if you're taking risks and trying new things and doing things that feel hard it's just not easy and that's why so many people don't do it, but you've got to do that and you've got to understand that big things don't happen usually, unless they're freaking hard. Otherwise, like I just said, everyone would have it.

So whenever I have hard days or I'm tired and I don't feel like working, or there's a big business decision that's scary and I don't know whether to do it, I still do it anyway. So you've got to feel that fear and just do it anyway because there is no growth without it feeling uncomfortable and scary and risky. So there are so many risks that I've taken in my life and some work out, some don't and that's just a whole part of the journey as well.

Another thing is sometimes you've got to make decisions in life where you have to let something go for the chance at something better to come along. As an example for me and my business, I had a Facebook ads agency for about three years until February last year and they were doing a pretty good job, we were ticking along and in 2022 and 2021, I was so happy with the business growth. It grew a lot in 2021. It grew a lot in 2022, definitely not just all because of Facebook ads. I introduced my podcast. I've been strategic with hiring more staff members and just doing so many other things, but Facebook ads and Instagram ads because they're both connected are definitely a big way that I get more eyeballs and just attract more clients to my business, which in turn helps them sign up and get help from me and grow the business and I was ticking along quite well with them, but I knew in my gut that it could be better.

I knew that I've worked for years and years on my sales page, on my reviews, on the program and I knew and I know in my gut how well the program works and how well I have set up the sales page and the psychology of the wording and getting so many testimonials from women and I just knew that something wasn't quite right with that Facebook ads team. I knew that it could be better. I knew that they could be doing better work to reach more people but it was comfortable though. When you make any kind of change, it feels uncomfortable if you're used to something and if things are feeling quite good, but if you want things to get better, sometimes you have to let go of something, to try something new and so I did that. I took the risk of investing in a new Facebook ads agency and that's one of the best decisions I've ever made in my entire business life, because since February last year, when they came onto the team, they have helped get so many more eyeballs, which in turn has made so many of you join my programs and my business grew this year exponentially from that. So I work with them extremely closely every single week to create new ads to inspire you and encourage women to sign up and they have been absolutely insanely incredible and so important to my business journey.

If you are a business owner listening and you're thinking about Facebook ads, this is just a side note. I truly believe that it's so important to really do the hard yards first in terms of making sure your product works, making sure your sales page converts, making sure the machine and the engine behind your business runs, because there's no point running ads to something if your sales page doesn't convert or if your program doesn't work and you don't get good results from people because that's just not going to work. So it's really good to focus on getting the product right first and then getting the eyeballs to it so that you can convert more people. So yes, they have helped so much, but it's absolutely an attribution to all of the steps that I took when they joined in February last year. So I had my business for about six years then. It's just a testament to all of the hard work that I did to create the program, to get all the life changing results and to make sure I had a sales page that converted which took years of just learning about psychology and copywriting and just so many things that people don't realise behind the scenes that it takes to sell a digital product.

It's not as simple as just putting something online and hoping people will buy. There is a lot to it, especially in the weight loss industry, because there's so much competition. So every day and every week I'm working out ways to change and improve things, but that was a huge growth strategy for me last year and I really do believe that who you have on your team and who you have in your life matters so much. Sometimes you do need to get rid of something, even if it feels comfortable to try something new.

In relation to that as well and this kind of relates to your personal life as well, but if there is anyone in your personal life that's stunting your growth a bit and not making you feel like the optimal version of yourself, or maybe you are dating someone and you're in a relationship and they're stunting you or just anything like that, as soon as you make the call to get rid of that from your life, it does create the space and the opportunity for someone better to come along and improve your life in whatever way it is. Sometimes you do need to let go of things and take risks for better things to come along and yes, maybe it would fail.

For instance, my Facebook ads team, they might not have been good and that would have just been like - okay, that didn't work, onto the next, but luckily it did and from the massive amount of exponential business growth last year, which took so many steps to get here - it didn't just quickly grow overnight and it wasn't just because of a Facebook ads team. There's been so many compounding things that led to last year, but I do attribute a lot of the growth of last year to finding the right Facebook ads team. We're really just putting so many ads out there with real women's results from my program and that is what inspires so many women and that's what seems to be working really well.

I want to end by saying sometimes your vision for the year turns out in ways that you don't expect in both good and bad ways and so I always like to say to people, especially now that it's the start of the year and people are setting goals and visions for the year. I think it's really good to have a vision and a goal, but more importantly, going back to the beginning, it's better to have a why and just take small steps every day, because you don't know how fast you'll reach that goal or you don't know how slow you'll reach that goal because you don't know the hiccups that are going to come along the way.

I believe in goals, but not setting a strict time frame and also just to keep really flexible and open. As long as you are taking those smaller line steps every day, you don't know what's going to happen and come up in your life. For example, this is exactly what last year taught me in 2023, my vision and my goal was to launch an app and I'm not going to get into it in depth, but I spent 10 to 11 months non-stop working. I put all of my business savings up until that point last year into the app, so I self funded it myself. It was a lot of money and so much time and energy and it failed and it didn't work and I'm still in a law case about it. It turned out to be a fraud. I turned out to be a bit of a fraud victim. The app was never going to work. It was one of the most horrible experiences I've ever been through and I'm still going through it.

I've had to start the whole thing again from scratch only two weeks later. It’s so much work  gone, all my money gone and now I'm building an entire new one with a new app team. That took a long time for me to grieve and get over and it still frustrates me at times because I'm repeating so much, but I have learned certain lessons from that. I've gotten so much stronger from that. I know that the app that eventually gets launched this year will be so much better because this team is so much better, which in turn means that it's just going to change your lives far more. That's the situation with that, but that was my goal for the year and it didn't work out and that's okay, but something else amazing happened and that was me finding this dream home.

My vision for last year was not to buy another house. I was really happy in my last house. Like I said earlier, it had ocean views. It was looking over the park. I was really happy there. My vision was just to launch that app, go on a really long trip to Europe and maybe buy a house next year, which is this year, because the business was growing and I was getting quite excited and I thought - yeah, I think next year will be a time for me to upgrade and buy a bigger house for myself and I've always manifested a good view that makes me feel good and inspired to do better work.

I've always said I want to have the best view and I'm not just saying this, I didn't think I would be able to find something this good, but because that was my vision for next year, and then all that app stuff happened, it meant that I couldn't go on a long Europe trip because work was too busy and the law case was going on and I had to start another app from scratch and just the other general runnings of the business.

I still did get away for two weeks. I made it happen because I wanted to stay true to my travel visions of last year. I still had to work nearly every day, but I went to Europe for two weeks and still got my kick and had the best time ever, but just before that trip, I actually decided to just get my feelers out there with Real Estate Agents and just start looking because I thought to myself - let's just start to see what's out there and see what I want and then I think this was like the second place that I looked at. I just fell in love and even though it was the busiest time of my life, I guess we are always busy, right?

It was just very hectic with everything that was going on - starting to build another app and going through a law case and just the business growing exponentially and I had to hire. We doubled the team last year. It was just a very full year, so it wasn't really the right time in a way to buy a house because I had to sell my last one and then buy this one and this one's fully furnished and it needs to be renovate, so it's a big project, but it felt right in my gut and I walked into it and it is the best view I've ever seen in my entire life.

I'm about to start crying now. I cry all the time because I worked so hard for this and I've always manifested and dreamt of this. I've always known that I wanted a view, but of course I've always known that I want to change as many of your lives as I can. So last year with the business growing exponentially and so many of your lives changing and then somehow finding this house that is just beyond my wildest dreams, it came true.

So, the app didn't come true, but if that happened I would have been off traveling and I would have missed out on this house and I don't think I would have ever found a house that is better than this one. I feel like sometimes in life you don't know what's going to happen, good or bad, and as long as you just stay true to your vision and you keep taking those steps, incredible things can come your way, and sometimes bad things can come your way too, but on the other side of the challenges, there's usually always so much growth and so many lessons, and I wouldn't be able to buy this dream home, if I didn't do all of those steps and all of that mindset work that I've just talked about in this podcast.

Obviously, there is so much more to it, I haven't gone into business strategy or the exact habits that I follow, but like I said, make sure you listen to Episode #101: Getting Back on Track & How To Create Habits That ACTUALLY Stick and Produce Results! for all of my best tips on how to set up the right habits and I honestly can't believe I'm in this home and it's just definitely a testament to seven years of dedication, hard work, believing in myself and constantly doing the things that I've just talked about in this podcast.

So I'll just run through them again really quickly with the main points that I spoke about. The first one was to make sure you have your why, like your deeper why that gets you up every day and makes you do those habits. A really big vision that will make you take those steps every single day, and make sure each of those steps are aligned to that vision, because they're the ones that add up to be big things, all those little steps you take every day.

Number two is reflect every single day and every single week on the things that make you thrive or the things that make you feel deprived and what can you tweak so that your mindset is in a really good place so that you can take those steps that are usually quite hard to make, like getting to the gym or sitting down at your laptop or whatever it is. You've got to really create a life that makes you feel as happy as you can most of the time.

The third thing was you are who you surround yourself with. So make sure you listen to the right podcasts, read the right books, follow the right people on social media and have the right friends that inspire you too. Number four was remove negativity in as many ways as you can and set boundaries. You don't want to have negative people on your team, in your friendship circle, just as much as you can remove that negativity.

The fifth one was with any setback, see it as a lesson to grow. This always makes you feel happier when you make a mistake and because without setbacks, you don't grow. You have to fail, you have to make mistakes for you to learn and grow. The next one was always to be a learner. You don't know it all. Always be open to learning and improving every single day.

Number eight was to invest wisely. So I was saying that I really do invest a lot in my health and my self care and also travel and business. They're the things that I invest in. So I put so much back into the business all the time and I put a lot of money into those other things without any guilt and I truly believe that's what's really helped me in my life.

Nine is to stay dedicated and  just keep going, like you have to stay dedicated, you have to sacrifice a lot and you have to know that you've got to just sacrifice a lot and stay dedicated day after day if you want to achieve your goals and the last one that I spoke about was just that it isn't easy. It's not easy so you've got to keep going. You've got to push through the discomfort and you've got to just keep pushing forward even when it feels hard and then the very final point that I just talked about is letting go of some things that feel comfortable, whether it's a relationship or a business contractor or a staff member.

If you want new results, you've got to change something and sometimes you do have to let go of some connections so that better things can come into your life and help you grow in whatever way that is. The thing that I didn't talk about really quickly, is learn to find a blissful balance in your own life with whatever works for you and this takes setting boundaries. This really takes listening to your own energy and what works for you.

So for me, I'm a bit of an introvert in the way that I love socialising, I need to be social,I love showing up online for you and helping you and I need a certain amount of that, but to recharge, I need a lot of time alone as well. For instance, on the weekends, if I filled my weekends with social commitments, I would feel exhausted for the week, so I need to have a whole Sunday afternoon usually by myself. If I do nothing on a Saturday, I'll do something on a Sunday, but basically I just know that at least half of the weekend I need to just relax and chill and be alone.

I know that I certainly need a certain amount of social commitment through the week, maybe one or two catch ups with family or friends through the week. Other nights I just like to be alone after big days of work. We're all different in this way, but really start to learn what drains your energy and what gives you energy? So whether you're an introvert or an extrovert, really start to become in tune with that and you need to become comfortable with saying no, if you really care about this.

So I need to say no to some social things. I need to say no to some work events or situations because I know that my energy is more important and I've figured out my balance. It can take time, but if you really reflect on your weeks every week. You end up finding that balance and that's very key if you want to stay aligned with achieving your goals and feeling happy to do so as well.

So that was a very long podcast. I really hope you enjoyed it. If you got to the end of it, I just want to end this podcast by saying - anything is possible for you. You truly can do anything you want if you set your mind to it. I have definitely manifested and dreamt of changing the world, changing thousands and thousands of people's lives, living in my dream home one day, but I never put a time limit on it and if you were to ask me a year or two ago that I would be changing  tens of thousands of women's lives and living in a home like this, I would have laughed.

I knew that would happen, but I thought a home like this, I'd have to go halves with a partner or it would be when I'm mid thirties. I did not think this would happen by 31, but it did and it is definitely a testament to just believing in myself, taking all the steps and just staying aligned and working hard, but not just working hard, working smarter, just always believing in yourself.

I hope this inspired you in some way. I hope you take some of these tips from me. I wanted to be your ear of inspiration because there is honestly so much to share about how I've created this life where I'm changing women's lives and also creating such a beautiful life for myself that feels really rewarding and just amazing every single day. Every single day I want to get up and I want to work and I do love most days of my life.

Thank you so much for listening and also if you've invested in my programs, thank you so much as well. It's because of you that I'm living out my dream. I'm changing your lives and I'm also able to travel the world and live in a house that brings me a lot of happiness as well.

If you're not following me yet on Instagram, I am @health_with_bec on there. I'm sharing a lot of my house journey there because there's a lot to renovate in this house. I had to buy it fully furnished and get rid of a lot of that and then like I've added all new floorboards, it's getting painted soon, all new furniture, and it's been a journey, but a very exciting journey. A very challenging journey as well because it's been a lot to do on top of business, but so exciting.
