Alcoholic Beverages

  • Most alcoholic beverages are very high in calories and can easily and mindlessly be consumed on a night out!

  • Look for low calories (less than 100 kcal per drink) and low in carbs and sugars.

  • Choose spirits mixed with soda or diet tonic, a small glass of dry wine (add ice or sparkling water), or low-calorie, low-carb, gluten-free pre-mixed drinks like alcoholic seltzers or gin/vodka sodas.

Coffee

  • Before You Speak Coffee makes instant coffee superfood blends that I love to use. I drink it every single morning but it’s completely optional in the program.

  • You can choose any flavour of BYS coffee you like best or even decaf if you’re sensitive to caffeine. I personally use the Performance Range and I buy the assorted box. However, avoid the sweetened options and choose unsweetened or with less than 1 gram carbs per serving.

  • I use BYS coffee in some of my sweet recipes as it really enhances the chocolate flavour, however 1 teaspoon of instant coffee granules dissolved in 1 teaspoon of hot water works just as well. If you don’t like the flavour of coffee, you can simply leave it out of recipes.

Hot chocolate & Sleep drinks

  • When you feel like something sweet after dinner without overdoing it, I personally love and use the Morlife Deep Sleep Remedy and 365 Nourish Hot Chocolates.

Morlife White Choc Matcha Brain Nootropic

  • I don’t like to consume coffee after 12pm as it messes with my sleep, but when I need a pick-me-up for productivity and brain focus, I LOVE this creamy drink made with boiling water and some almond milk.

  • It helps with my focus and matcha has so many health benefits.

Soft Drinks & Tonic Water

  • Regular soft drinks are usually sugar bombs, packed with excess sugar and calories.

  • Look for options that are very low calorie, sugar free and gluten free.

  • Look for less than 15 kcal per serving and total sugars under 1g per 100ml.

  • Stevia and monk fruit are the best sweetener options.

  • These options are great on their own to fix that sweet soft drink craving, or used as a mixer with your favourite alcohol.
